Garden Irrigation And Watering Systems
The Joy of Garden Care
After careful choice of design, landscaping and planting your favourite plants into a wonderful garden you have to take care it. Watering, garden care and maintenance is one of the best ways to unwind, to relax and get in touch with nature. But it also takes time. With our busy modern lifestyles it’s not something you can do every day – even though you should. One of the most time consuming aspects is watering. Richard Robertson Landscapes have a variety of watering solutions for all gardens.
What Options are Available?
Lawns, plants, trees – they all need care and watering. The installation of a smooth-running garden irrigation system your garden will continue to grow and thrive even in the Mediterranean style climate of Mornington Peninsula. Richard Robertson Landscapes specialises in low-density poly, high pressure PVC, fully automated, timer-applied irrigation systems and dripper and pop-up systems. We also construct boreholes and put in place borehole systems as well as supply and install rain sensors for both residential and commercial properties. One thing most people don’t know about irrigation systems is that they not only save you time but also money and water.
Automated Garden Irrigation Designs: Every garden is different. No two are alike. Soil types and garden styles vary even along the same street. Each garden design is unique and will need its own particular watering system. Automated garden irrigation systems come in various types and configurations, all, as the name implies are fully automated, customisable and programmed as well as home owner managed. They come in two categories – Drip Systems and Sprinkler Systems.
The Drip Systems include drip lines, drip irrigation, gear driven, lawn sprinklers, garden bed systems and the spray type of irrigation. Plenty to choose from to get the right mix and coverage for your garden. The drip system is a guaranteed way to keep water loss to evaporation to a minimum. It’s great for lawns, flower and garden beds as it makes sure the water goes where it’s needed.
Sprinkler Systems
Sprinkler systems spray water upwards letting the water fall like rain over lawns, foliage and plants and then soaks into the soil. The result is well nourished garden.
Don’t Forget Drainage
Basically, if you don’t have good drainage you might end up with a swamp. And that’s great – if you want a swamp. Chances are you don’t. Your garden needs to be designed in such a way that water does what it needs to do and then moves on. If it doesn’t the plants’ roots won’t get any air and the soggy soil becomes a hot bed for disease.
Just a thought – if you do want a swamp, we can design one for you – with plants that will thrive in those conditions.
